About the project
Avion Residence is a new apartment building by Sky View Development in Dubai South, the 145-square-kilometre master plan around Al Maktoum International Airport and the Expo 2020 site. It has 66 apartments over six residential floors, and the developer plans to hand it over in Q2 2027. The homes now on sale are two-bedroom apartments built to the developer's 2 BHK Type B plan, which adds a study corner to the master bedroom.
The apartments
Each of these apartments covers 1,189 sq ft: 964 sq ft inside and 225 sq ft of outdoor space, split between two balconies. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe that leads to its own bathroom, and a desk fits into the study corner. A second bedroom and a second bathroom open off the hallway. The kitchen is open to the dining area and the living room, and the living room opens onto a balcony. Sky View fits the homes with home automation and an automated door lock, and the building has 24-hour security.
Building and district
The roof holds an artificial beach and a botanical garden. Residents also have an infinity pool, a kids' pool and play area, a gym, a CrossFit zone, a yoga area, a jogging track and a floating lounge, plus an entertainment lounge with a large screen, a pool table and table tennis. Dubai South itself has schools, a community centre, a retail centre, pocket parks, a 24-hour supermarket and a sports clubhouse. Outside peak hours, Sky View puts District 2020 10 minutes away by car, Al Maktoum International Airport 15 minutes, Dubai Marina 25 minutes, Downtown Dubai 45 minutes and Abu Dhabi about an hour.
Payment plan
Buyers pay 20% on booking and 10% during construction. The remaining 70% falls due on handover in Q2 2027, so most of the price is paid once the apartment is finished. Sky View Development also offers a 50/50 payment plan.
