About the project
DAMAC Islands 2 is the second phase of DAMAC Islands, the master community DAMAC Properties is building in Dubai. The developer launched it after the first phase sold out and laid it out as eight clusters named after islands: Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Maui, Mauritius and Tahiti. Completion is planned for Q2 2030.
The townhouses
The homes here are townhouses with four or five bedrooms. The four-bedroom mid unit has 2,185 sq ft over two floors. The five-bedroom homes add a roof floor with a maid's room and a roof terrace, at 2,829 sq ft as a mid unit and 3,158 sq ft as an end unit. On every plan the living and dining room opens onto a patio and a private garden, a bedroom with its own bathroom sits on the ground floor, and a covered carport takes two cars. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and its own balcony.
Life in the community
DAMAC counts more than 45 amenities and groups them under five themes: nature, wellness, adventure, social life and culture. There is a lake and eco park with a Zen garden, a botanic garden, a waterfall with a hidden restaurant and a yoga deck, and a solar park with charging points and e-scooter lanes. Wellness means a healing spa, saltwater hydrotherapy pools and an eco gym beside a sports field. For adventure there is a treehouse park, a canopy walk and a zipline, plus wooden kayaks that pass floating gardens. The clubhouse has a natural swimming lagoon outside and a fitness and wellness centre inside, and the community also plans co-working pods, a museum library and a cultural square with a climate-controlled dome and a food market.
Location and payment plan
By the developer's drive times, Sports City, Motor City and DAMAC Hills are 15 minutes away, the Expo 2020 site 20 minutes, Al Maktoum International Airport 23 minutes, Dubai Investment Park 25 minutes, Burj Al Arab 35 minutes and Dubai International Airport 40 minutes. The payment plan takes 16% on booking and 34% in instalments between the third and the forty-second month, and the remaining 50% falls due on completion.
