About the project
Salt of Virgin Beach is an oceanfront hotel complex by Big Waves Development on Virgin Beach in Karangasem, on the east coast of Bali. It has 84 rooms with views of the ocean and Mount Agung, and the developer counts 20 steps from the complex down to the white sand. Two long wings sit under curved, wave-shaped roofs and meet at a shared rooftop deck. The design, credited to Mantras Studio and Big Waves Development, won in both the Asia Pacific Property Awards and the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards for 2025-2026. The hotel is to be run by The Lux Collective, an international operator with 18 hotels.
The residences
Every home for sale here has one bedroom. The apartments on the first to third floors measure 47 to 52 m², and the largest one-bedroom apartments reach 105 m². The duplexes come in two sizes. On the ground floor they measure 61 m², with the hallway, living room and a terrace downstairs and the bedroom with its own bathroom upstairs. On the third floor they measure 78 m² and gain a mezzanine level under the roof.
Amenities and services
The complex has two restaurants: one with a buffet and a healthy menu, and one on the rooftop built around its bar. The rooftop also holds an open-air cinema and space for events and weddings. At ground level there is a large swimming pool with a separate children's area and an artificial waterfall, and the beach has the resort's own sun loungers. There is also a diving centre, a yoga terrace, a sports hub, a two-level children's playroom, a spa with anti-age and wellness programmes and a GxBAR beauty space. The developer also specifies greener details: sulphate-free cosmetics, natural alternatives to plastic and furnishings made from recycled materials.
Payment plan and handover
The plan asks for 30% on booking and the remaining 70% in instalments over 18 months. Salt of Virgin Beach is under construction, and completion is scheduled for Q2 2027.
