About the project
Fahid Beach Terraces is a group of six beachfront towers on Fahid Island, Abu Dhabi, developed by Aldar Properties PJSC and designed by the architect Koichi Takada. His design takes its cue from the shoreline: flowing forms, balconies that curve like the marks a tide leaves on sand, and varied floor plates with generous space between the buildings, so homes get open sky and natural light. The towers sit on the waterfront with direct access to the beach, the promenade and the shops of Coral Drive, and King's College School Wimbledon is next door.
The residences
The current release offers two-bedroom apartments and duplexes from 1,664 sq ft and three-bedroom apartments from 2,980 sq ft. Homes on the podium levels come with terraces. Kitchens and wardrobes are Italian-branded: built-in appliances, pull-out bin and bottle storage and a magic corner unit in the kitchen, sensor lighting, LED-lit shelving and a built-in safe in the master wardrobe. Master bathrooms have rain showers, and the drawers have power outlets built in. Interiors come in light and dark finishes, and wide glazing lets in the sea view while keeping out solar heat and outside noise.
Clubhouse and wellness
The clubhouse stands above the shoreline with views over open water. Inside are a gym facing the sea, a workout studio, a spa with sauna, steam and salt rooms, cold plunge pools and private treatment rooms. Around it residents have infinity pools, padel and volleyball courts, a cinema, a co-working lounge, a kids' room and a tween room, plus a private dining room with a social kitchen that can be booked for events. A wellness concierge arranges nutrition consultations, workshops and sports clubs for running, padel, beach volleyball and cycling. There is also a 24/7 concierge and valet service. The residential buildings are on track for LEED Gold, Fitwel 2-Star and Estidama 3 Pearl ratings.
Location and payment plan
Fahid Island has 11 km of coastline and 940,000 sqm of green space, and it was the first island in the world to receive Fitwel certification. By Aldar's figures, Yas Island is 5 minutes away, Saadiyat Island and Zayed International Airport 15 minutes, central Abu Dhabi 20 minutes and Dubai 50 minutes. The payment plan is 5% on booking, 35% during construction and 60% on handover, which is expected in Q4 2029.
