About the project
Suburbia is a completed apartment complex by DAMAC Properties in Downtown Jebel Ali, Dubai, overlooking Gate 5 of Jebel Ali Free Zone. Two residential towers rise behind a podium ringed with duplex homes, and the facades take their cue from Moroccan architecture, with bright colours and geometric patterns. DAMAC designed the duplexes to give the ease of an apartment with the feel of a villa. The building is finished, with its fixtures and fittings in place, and ready to move into.
The duplex
On sale now is the 2BR duplex layout: about 2,562 sq ft over two levels of the podium, joined by an internal staircase. Suburbia's duplexes come with private terraces, and the living and dining areas are separate, which makes it easy to host family or guests. The kitchen is fitted with a hob, an oven, a refrigerator and a washing machine with dryer. Bedrooms have wardrobes, bathrooms are fully tiled, and the apartment has central air conditioning, double-glazed windows, ceramic floor tiles and connections for television, telephone and high-speed internet. DAMAC's specification for a two-bedroom home also lists furniture: one double and two single beds with mattresses, a couch, a dining table with chairs, a coffee table, a television, and glassware, tableware and cooking utensils.
Amenities
Residents share an outdoor, temperature-controlled swimming pool with a sun deck, a gym with a sauna, a children's play area and a restaurant. There are open roof terraces, a walkway along the podium level and landscaped gardens for an evening stroll.
Location and payment
Suburbia faces Gate 5 of Jebel Ali Free Zone and has direct views of Sheikh Zayed Road, so it is easy to reach from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Jebel Ali is where Dubai's main road, its seaport and the Metro line meet, and Al Maktoum International Airport is nearby. DAMAC planned the complex for people who work in the Free Zone and want a short commute; it was one of the first premium apartment complexes in what is mainly a business district. DAMAC Properties has been building across the Middle East since 2002. As the building is complete, there is no instalment plan: the buyer pays 100% on booking.
