BH Residence on Jalan Goa Gong in Ungasan is an operating villa resort that Embrace is renovating from top to bottom as a family wellness resort. In both, a management company runs the place and the owners can use their homes when they like.

Embrace Development's record.

Embrace is best judged by its two projects. Both are built around how people spend their days rather than around a unit count. ZEN puts a recovery zone with an onsen, a spa, yoga and pilates, a co-working and event floor and a kids club with a kindergarten next to the homes. BH Residence is planned for families with children: age-grouped kids areas, childcare, nanny quarters inside the villas and a kitchen menu without added sugar for the children.

Delivery record

The project you can visit today is BH Residence: an established villa resort on Jalan Goa Gong, about a kilometre east of the GWK cultural park, which the company is renovating and converting into a family wellness resort. ZEN Hotels and Residences at Melasti is a new build and is under way.

ZEN Hotels and Residences
Almost three hectares of gated grounds near Melasti Beach, in Japanese-influenced architecture and modern minimalism, with park areas laid out for quiet. The resort has a hotel of about a hundred rooms, a retail street of about five thousand square metres with boutiques, a supermarket and a pharmacy, and a recovery zone of a thousand square metres with an onsen, a spa, massage rooms, a gym, yoga and pilates and a Japanese garden. There is a co-working and event space, several restaurants and cafés, and a kids club open from eight in the morning to eight at night with a kindergarten, a rope park and water slides. The homes are studios, Zen Apartments with a mini pool on the terrace and Smart Villas with a pool on the roof, all delivered furnished.
Family wellness resort with villas and apartments
BH Residence
An established resort on Jalan Goa Gong in Ungasan that Embrace is renovating throughout. It has forty-six homes, twenty-two one-bedroom apartments and twenty-four villas, and no two are the same. The villas have private pools, full kitchens, laundry rooms and gardens, and the larger ones keep the main bedroom apart from the children's rooms, with separate quarters for a nanny. Only natural materials go into the renovation: tropical hardwood, stone and organic textiles. The shared side is a spa and recovery area, a yoga studio, a padel court, a restaurant, a co-working room and a kids camp split by age.

Signature style

Calm, natural and low-key. ZEN mixes Japanese architecture with contemporary minimalism, light tones, wood and stone. BH Residence keeps the open, indoor-outdoor Balinese villa and rebuilds it in hardwood, stone and organic fabric, with plastic left out. In both, the service side carries as much weight as the homes: a management company, housekeeping, a concierge and childcare.
