About the project

Bloom Hotel Melasti is a design hotel by High Quality Construction in Ungasan, on the Bukit Peninsula in the Badung regency of Bali. Two curving buildings with rooftop gardens hold 145 designer apartments around a central mosaic pool, and the theme throughout is flowers: fresh arrangements, floral motifs, stained glass and a planted park. Completion is planned for Q1 2028.

The apartments

The apartments on sale are 1BR units of 29 to 44 m2 on the first to fourth floors of Building A. The developer grades them as Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Luxe rooms, all with panoramic windows, and every one is handed over fully furnished with appliances. The tenure is leasehold, set out by the developer as 39 years plus 30 years, with the first 39 years already included in the price of the unit. The developer also states that the plot has Pink tourism land zoning.

Pool, spa and dining

The pool is lined with brightly coloured mosaics by the Australian artist Shankari Ashton, and the developer describes it as the only pool of its kind in Bali. Sun loungers line its edge and a pool bar sits beside it. The spa is run in partnership with Royal Spa, with treatments using organic cosmetics, aromatherapy programmes, couples' rituals, a sauna and a spa shop. Rose Bar is a hidden speakeasy inside a rose garden, with live jazz and vinyl records, while the Theatre restaurant moves from quiet breakfasts to candlelit dinners with live piano. Owners and guests also have a yoga space, a gym, a park of frangipani, bougainvillea, hibiscus, roses and orchids, concierge and laundry service, 24/7 security with video surveillance and a car park.

Location and payment plan

According to the developer's map, the white sand of Karma Kandara beach is 400 metres from the hotel and Melasti Beach about 1.5 km away. The developer counts 12 beach clubs within walking distance, more than 30 restaurants within 3 km and GWK park about 15 minutes away. The payment plan is 30% on booking, 64% in instalments during construction and the remaining 6% on handover.

About Ungasan

High ground at the southern tip of Bali: ocean views, cliff beaches and new villas on long leases.

Ungasan is a village on the Bukit Peninsula, the dry limestone tableland at the southern end of Bali, in the South Kuta district of Badung Regency. It covers about 15 km², with Jimbaran to the north, Pecatu and Uluwatu to the west and Kutuh to the east, and much of it stands high above the sea, so a good share of the houses here look straight out over the Indian Ocean. The coast below is a wall of white cliffs with a few beaches cut into it. The best known is Melasti, reached by a road carved down through the limestone and named after the purification ceremony Balinese Hindus hold on the shore before Nyepi. Green Bowl lies further east, and just over the border in Kutuh are Pandawa Beach and the Bukit Pandawa golf course. Inland, the village is home to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, where the statue of Vishnu riding Garuda rises 121 metres with its pedestal. About 13,000 people live in Ungasan, and the plateau is now one of the busiest building sites on the Bukit: villa compounds, small apartment buildings and hotel residences, most of them sold to foreign buyers on long leases, because freehold land in Indonesia is reserved for its citizens.
