About the project
Al Durrah Tower is a completed residential tower on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, which Foster Developers presents as The Pearl of Reem (durrah is Arabic for pearl). The apartments are ready to move in, and the building has uninterrupted views over the Arabian Gulf. The developer describes the design through calm proportions, plenty of natural light and refined finishes. Materials were chosen for their feel, and the floor plans are organised so that daily life runs easily. Foster Developers was established in 2008, works in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, and focuses on acquiring ready buildings and refining them.
The residences
The tower has one, two, three and four bedroom apartments. A one-bedroom home measures 1,356 sq ft. The two-bedroom layout comes with a study and a maid's room across 2,002 sq ft. Three-bedroom apartments start at 2,669 sq ft, and the three-bedroom plan with a study and maid's room covers 2,982 sq ft. The four-bedroom residences are the largest, at around 4,200 sq ft, and many of them include a maid's room and a study. The homes on offer face the marina, most of them with a panoramic island view as well. Payment follows a 20/80 plan: 20% in initial instalments, then a final 80% paid through the bank.
Amenities
Residents have a private fitness lounge, a swimming pool with a sun deck and a poolside lounge. There is also a residents' lounge, an outdoor barbecue area, a children's play area, an outdoor recreation area and a sauna. Outside, Al Reem Island is ringed by water, with landscaped promenades along the shore for an evening walk.
Location
Reem Mall and Reem Island Medical Centre are about 5 minutes from the tower, and Galleria Mall on Al Maryah takes around 8. Repton School Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi are both about 10 minutes away. Corniche Beach and NYU Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island are around 15 minutes by car, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque 17, the Louvre Abu Dhabi 20 and Abu Dhabi International Airport 35.
