DM Projects

DM Projects, also known as DM Projects Group, is a Bali studio founded by an architect and an interior designer, and it works on both sides of the job: the land, the design, the build and the furniture are handled by the same team. Each villa is given its own style. The firm has done Moroccan, Mexican and minimalist modern so far, and the interiors are made for the house rather than bought in. Its villa complex Salty Jim near the GWK cultural park won two interior design awards at the PropertyGuru awards in 2024. Every project in our catalogue sits on the south of the Bukit Peninsula, around Ungasan and Pandawa Beach.

THE TRACK RECORD

DM Projects's record.

DM Projects is known for its interiors first. At the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok in December 2024, Salty Jim won Best Housing / Landed Interior Design (Asia), and it also won Best High End Housing Interior Design at the 10th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards. The same villa was a finalist at the 2026 SBID Awards in the residential category for houses under one million pounds. The studio's habit is to give each project a story and to use materials made for that house: tiles glazed by Balinese craftsmen, teak and ironwood furniture, Turkish marble.

Delivery record

The finished work you can look at is Salty Jim, a complex of six villas on Jalan Tukad Nangka Utara near the GWK cultural park, completed in December 2024. Each villa has its own pool, a sauna, a yoga shala and a sunken lounge under a Balinese roof built from reclaimed wood. The Seafora villas share a plot with Salty Jim, and the developer's own photographs of Seafora show a finished, furnished house.

Moroccan-style private villas with five or seven bedrooms
Royalin Villas
A complex of eleven villas inland above Pandawa Beach, about six hundred metres from the sand on foot, with the villas turned towards the Indian Ocean. Each one has its own gym, sauna and spa room, a pool with salt filtration instead of chlorine, and a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi. Water is filtered by reverse osmosis and organic waste is composted on site. The developer's earlier material calls the project Royale Residence.
Three-bedroom tropical villas in a Mexican style
Seafora Villas
Villas on the developer's plot just south of the GWK cultural park in Ungasan, with the GWK statue in view over the wall. The design keeps to stone walls, arched doors, warm tones and natural materials. The living room has a sofa group sunk 850 millimetres below the floor beside an open fireplace, every bedroom has its own bathroom, and the house comes fully furnished. The structural warranty runs for ten years.
Two-bedroom townhouses and one-bedroom cabanas
Jey Grey Residence
A modern, minimalist complex on the southern Bukit near Pandawa and Timbis beaches, on a site shared with the developer's Neat House villas. The houses are built on a prefabricated steel frame with sandwich-panel walls in a concrete shell, made from elements produced in China. High walls and planting keep each unit out of its neighbour's view, and every house has its own pool and garden.

Salty Jim
Six villas near the GWK cultural park in Jimbaran, each with a private pool, sauna, yoga shala, sunken lounge and garden. The villas are built around a reclaimed wooden structure moved from Canggu, the Balinese roofs are reclaimed timber too, and the interiors follow the story of an imaginary big-wave surfer. It won two PropertyGuru interior design awards in 2024.

Signature style

No two projects look alike, and that is the point of the studio. Seafora is Mexican in feeling, Royalin is Moroccan, Jey Grey is plain modern and Salty Jim is built around reclaimed timber. What stays the same is the method: the architect and the interior designer work on the same house from the land to the cushions, and much of the furniture and finishing is made for that villa.

Worth considering
  • The villas are sold on a leasehold of thirty years with a twenty-year extension. A lease is not a land title, and at the end of the term the land and buildings go back to the landowner unless the contract says otherwise.
  • DM Projects is a private studio and publishes no financial figures or a full list of completed projects, so look at Salty Jim in person and read each contract carefully.
  • Jey Grey Residence uses prefabricated steel-frame construction, which is less common in Bali. Ask the developer about maintenance and insurance for that type of building.
