SOL You&Co in Production City, Dubai

You&Co is a completed coliving complex by SOL Properties in Production City, Dubai. Its three towers of nine floors hold 769 rooms and are joined by a podium bridge with shared public space. The building was planned with Cutwork, a French architecture studio that works on coliving and public spaces, and a managing company runs it day to day.

The apartments

The homes on sale are compact two-bedroom apartments of 673 to 739 sq ft (about 63 to 69 m²), on floors two to eight. The developer's plans put two private bedrooms around a shared kitchen and dining area, and each bedroom opens onto its own balcony. It is the same idea that runs through the whole building: a room of your own, with the cooking and eating space shared. Payment is 30% on booking, and the remaining 70% is spread over 36 months from booking.

Shared spaces

Much of life at You&Co happens in the common areas. Residents have a swimming pool, a gym, a coworking space, podcast recording rooms, a game room, a barbecue area, a patio and a yoga deck on the roof. A community manager organises talks, workshops and concerts, and the concierge desk is staffed around the clock. The managing company also takes care of utility bills, meter readings, repairs and cleaning, so residents spend very little time on housekeeping.

Location

Production City, also known as IMPZ, is a free zone for media companies, home to art, publishing and television firms. You&Co sits between Jumeirah Golf Estates, Motor City and Jumeirah Village Triangle, with a direct link to the main highways. The developer puts the main shopping malls about 5 km away, schools and universities about 10 km, the Port of Jebel Ali 17 km and the Expo 2020 site around 10 minutes by car.
