Trump Tower Tbilisi by Archi, Downtown Tbilisi

Trump Tower Tbilisi is the first Trump-branded residence in Georgia, and the first in the Caucasus. It stands on the western rise of the city in Saburtalo, beside the new Central Park, where the ridgelines close the horizon and the Mtkvari valley opens below.

Gensler designed both the tower and the district around it. The tower runs to 62 storeys and 280 metres at the top of its illuminated crown, which makes it the tallest building in the country. Y-shaped columns in champagne gold climb the full height, break at a diamond brace and flare into a curved podium at the base.

There are 850 residences, from studios to four-bedroom apartments, with the penthouse collection held on levels 54 to 58. Every apartment reaches an outside wall, and each face of the floor plate looks somewhere different: the city, Central Park, or the mountains. Behind floor-to-ceiling glass and curved corners, one finish specification is applied throughout, so nothing is left for an owner to correct.

Four floors are given to amenities. The pool, gym and spa sit on level 4, sky amenities on 44 and 45, and a terrace on the roof, alongside a library that doubles as a business lounge, a residents’ lounge, a kids’ club, and restaurants and bars. A concierge team works around the clock, residents have their own entrance and drop-off, and parking, service and retail deliveries are kept separate.

Below the residences, a curved podium of timber and bronze holds up to 45,000 square metres of shops, cafes and restaurants across two floors, with a promenade on its roof. It is open to the city rather than to residents alone.

The district it stands in, Downtown Tbilisi, runs to six towers over more than 600,000 square metres around the restored Central Park, and two billion dollars of investment. Vake Park and Chavchavadze Avenue are five minutes away by car, Rustaveli Avenue twelve, Freedom Square fourteen, the old town and the sulphur baths seventeen, and the airport twenty-eight.
